FAQ
One of the most common mistakes in skincare is confusing "squeaky clean" with "healthy." Your skin barrier is a delicate shield made of corneocytes (bricks) and lipids (mortar). Harsh cleansers or physical scrubs that give you that "squeaky" feel are actually stripping away the essential "mortar." When this protective layer is gone, bacteria enter easily, and your skin enters "panic mode," overproducing oil and triggering inflammation to protect itself. In short: The harder you scrub, the more breakouts your skin creates. It's time to switch your focus from "stripping" to "shielding."
High-potency actives like Retinol or AHAs/BHAs are great tools, but they become "poison" when applied to a compromised barrier. If your skin is stinging, red, or peeling, you must immediately stop all active ingredients (Skin Fasting). Recovery doesn't require fancy new ingredients; it requires the building blocks of your skin: Ceramides, Cholesterol, and Fatty Acids. By applying a formula that mimics your skin's natural lipid structure, you create an artificial shield that gives your barrier time to heal. Until the stinging stops, "Soothe & Hydrate" should be your only mantra.
To be honest, physically "shrinking" the size of your pores with topical skincare is a myth. However, making them "invisible" is entirely possible. Pores often look enlarged because the surrounding skin is dehydrated and sagging, causing the pore structure to collapse and look wider. When you deeply saturate the skin with moisture and lipids, the surrounding tissue "plumps up," pushing against the pores and creating an optical illusion of smooth, poreless skin. Don't look for a way to tighten the pore; look for a way to support the skin around it. That is the secret to the "Glass Skin" look.
Scientifically, yes. When you are stressed, your body releases Cortisol. This hormone is a "barrier-breaker" — it inhibits the production of healthy lipids and literally breaks down collagen in the dermis. You can apply the most expensive SPF in the world, but if your mind is under constant stress, your skin will age from the inside out. Protecting your Telomeres (the caps of your DNA) requires a holistic approach: positive storytelling and quality sleep. Real anti-aging doesn't happen at your vanity; it starts with your mental resilience.
Applying more products doesn't always equal more nourishment. In fact, overloading your skin with too many ingredients increases the risk of sensitization and allergic reactions — your skin views these excess ingredients as "intruders." Modern, stressed skin thrives on "Barrier Minimalism." Layering 3 to 4 high-quality, barrier-mimicking products is far more effective than 10 steps that sit on the surface. "Less is More" is not just a trend; it is the most sophisticated solution for a healthy, resilient glow.
